Who saw this in theatres originally?

Does anyone remember when this came out to theatres? I remember I was 9 at the time and it had just come out but hadn't received any publicity in our area but the poster looked cool at the theatre so naturally I persuaded my mom to take my brother and I to see it. I don't remember too much about that experience but I do remember watching the hell out of it on DVD (when DVDs were still a new technology and cost about 30-40 bucks a disc at the time) because it was one of the only DVDs I had at the time. The other two were Halloween and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

I saw it in the theater. I was 39! Was always a big horror fan, and still am.

Yeah, I saw it in the cinema when I was about 21 with a girl who utterly laughed her a*s off through all the most grotesque parts. And when I say laughed, I mean cracked, maniacally right the fk up!

And yes, when i got to know her a bit better, indeed it did turn out she was a little odd.
