am i the only one who thinks this is the worst film ever?

it would seem that most of the comments on it are positive. i find the dialogue, story line, acting, editing, and cinematography ridiculously poorly done., and like, not in any sort of an avantgard way that breaks new ground, but just in a very annoying and careless way. frankly, it astounds me that someone could watch this film and not consider one of the worst movies ever made. the only other movies that i think can even rival this one in its trite and bland badness are deadman, six-string samurai, doom generation (by the same guy), and all of the movies made by that guy who directed kids. am i alone here?

No, you're not alone. A waste, I turned it off after about 20 minutes.

End of the world? So what.

No not at all sir. I watched about 60 mins of this trash praying it would get better but nope it never got better. I didn't even care about the final 20 some mins. I turned it off ticked I could have just watched LTZ.

Well be careful, man. Be careful. Wear shoes in the house. Safety. Safety first, then teamwork.

No, this movie is horrible on all the levels you mentioned. I had to make a similar thread warning everyone just now as well.

While this movie is terrible, that is what Gregg Araki intended. He wasn't taking the film seriously at all. This movie could be worse, it could be Twilight...lol a cheesey movie that takes itself way too seriously and tries to be deep and profound.

No, you are most definitely not alone. I just finished watching and I have no idea what the movie was supposed to be. What was the plot? We never got to know the characters at all. Truly a waste of film.

I only watched this movie because Christina Applegate was in it, but not even her being in it could save it for me. The only part I really laughed at was when she tried to kiss Ducky and hit his teeth. Actually, John Ritter's part was funny too, but that's only because I think people making fun of televangelists is hilarious. Everything else was absolute garbage.

"Do we have time for a movie montage?"

Pretty much. There's always some douche that goes on the board for EVERY movie and says "OMG it was the worst thing ever!" and goes on a badly-spelled rant. I can see how someone might not "get" it, but it's hardly the worst movie ever. Maybe you should stick with easy stuff, like Spider Man or Disaster Movie or one of those other bits of fluff.

It was odd there's no doubting that and though I do like films that are different and show teens doing crazy things but this movie was just very strange. Reminded me of Gamer for some reason. I guess it's just because out of the ordinary things were going on.

But I did get quickly annoyed with their vocabulary. Obviously this movie was from the 90's so maybe some of the things they said were relevent for that time period but the names and terms (like when name calling) they used for each other drove me crazy. And the valley girl attitudes the girls all had, which again, they are in L.A. but come on.

You're not alone. I'd rather stick pins in my eyeballs than watch this film again.

best movie ever. i hated it the first time i watched it but ended up watching it again and loved it. i love dark and how over the top and melodramatic the whole thing is.

reply

No, I'm with you. This movie blew chunks.

Although this is a bad movie, I wouldn't consider this the worst. I'm sure there's something that's worse than this.

I get it up, I get it up in the dark, I make her feel I'm not a holy man
