THIS MOVIE IS AMAZING

So why the heck does it have a 3.3? ANd its on the bottom 100...such a fun film.

I remember liking the Disney Channel previews for the film, but when I finally saw it (...on the Disney Channel) I was disappointed.

Surprisingly, I enjoyed this year's Pink Panther remake much more.

I saw a bit of Nielsen's "Wrongfully Accused" on TV one night and rather liked it.

The cockroach is a noble beast....

Well I loved this movie and I hated all the other Nielsen movies I've seen. It's a movie for children, I saw it when I was 10 and it was one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. I'm surprised it has such a low rating and pretty has been basically forgotten.

I liked this movie just because I loved the series when I was a kid... Dunno if I'd liked it if I didn't

Actually any leslie N film is great. Magoo transfers well except his small size, a comic barb almost as important as his eyesight gags, would be hard to tactfully recreate. The humor comes from the character's misinterpretations shocking onlookers by the danger he innocently puts himself into while thinking he's in a routine surrounding; then, usually when the onlooker almost kills themself trying to save him, he extracates himself from harm by "blind" chance.

Well, this movie was hilarious when I was younger. I have to rent it and see if it's up to par now.

I really liked this movie when I was it in the 3rd grade. Something tells me I won't like it as much nowadays.

I have to agree the movie IS amazing. I don't necessarily mean that in a good way. I'm amazed that they looked at this script and said "let's hire a crew, get the financing and shoot this thing". Some very talented people drew what I hope was a good paycheck going through the motions on this mind-bogglingly mundane movie. I've seen more nuanced character development & engaging storylines on lo-budget kids' shows & infomercials. I recommend Magoo to people as a movie that must be seen to be believed. I'm sure there are many reasons to make a movie - from shooting for an Academy Award to laundering money - but for the life of me I can't figure out how or why this film ever got made. That alone makes it a must-see. There are MORE baffling movies around ("Can't stop the music" still tops my list for worst movie ever made) but Magoo ranks right up there with the select few.
If I wanted to pop a movie into the minivan DVD to occupy the kids on a long trip, I'd choose Flinstones-2 or the entire Ernest collection before I made 'em sit through Magoo.
Just my opinion. Still, Leslie Neilsen is great & I'll always remember Kelly Lynch for Drugstore Cowboy & 3 of Hearts - not Magoo. I only hope their paychecks cleared.

I know! People don't have a sense of humour, they must take everything too seriously. I laughed so much when I saw this movie! Leslie Nielsen fits perfectly and the dog was so cute.

Overall the movie was mediocre, but Leslie Nielson was born to play Magoo so I give it a 5/10.
