reply

its on tv right now so i thought i'd log on to give my 2 cents

10/10

was gonna say 8 or 9 out of 10, but I'll give it extra points since "Lee Evans" is in it. I think americans maybe are racist, his always in stupid roles where he takes crap just because his british.

However his great in this.

UPDATE: maybe americans ARE racist, lee evans isn't even in the movie cover shown on imdb

Last time I checked British isn't a race - neither is American, so how can Americans be racist for this???? - Fact is Lee Evans while being extremely funny (one of the funniest comedians out there) isn't as well known in the US as Nathan Lane.

I gave this 9 out of 10, it is a very, very funny film, clever, fast paced, and massively under appreciated.
Also the poster who said Americans are racist, I think he was probably being less than 100% serious, and for the guy who responded that nationality isn't race, well he needs to catch up.
Language is fluid, and the term race has long been used to include national and cultural groupings, and sadly,so many bigots claim their racism, is not racist, because their hate is targeted at a particular cultural, or national grouping, rather than a strict racial group, but they are just displaying their ignorance, which is I guess to be expected, or they wouldn't be bigots in the first place.
Well anyway, we were talking about funny, and it is fun to ridicule bigots, as they so deserve it, maybe we could see a new comedy targeting that group, like the classic Archie Bunker did so well.

0/10 Boring waste of time. Wisely, my kids fell asleep so I turned it off.

Well at least your wife must have a sense of humour, or maybe she also fell asleep, otherwise you mightn't even have kids.

lol, only gagging, but I do have to wonder at what type of person could fail to appreciate the humour in this film?
I'm not saying they would have to be a spanner, but definitely would need to be some kind of a tool.

I gave it a 7/10. I really liked it.

I never appreciated it, I got taken to see it in the cinema and fell asleep because I was bored, I had to watch it in my boyfriends recently (not remembering the film from the original time) and I was telling him what was going to happen before it did. It was so obvious. 2/10 because Lee Evans used to be amazing before the Big tour.

reply

I pity your boyfriend.

This movie is a full 10 in my book. Years later I never forget it and keep coming back to watch some more.

A solid 8/10 or 10/10 if looking for a light hearted fun comedy (which it fulfils with aplomb).

It's a lovely film with touching moments, slapstick moments that are perpetrated on characters that you genuinely like and care for. The mouse is clever, the script is funny and you are left with a warm heart and a sore belly from the laughing.

One of the best, most uplifting comedies that I have in my collection that is suitable for all the family and doesn't stray into over the top saccharine (Home Alone).

Brilliant little intimate film that is a treasure having been directed by someone who went onto such big things.

1/10. This is the only film I've ever walked out on in a theater.

I gave it a ten, it was like watching a live action Tom and Jerry flick for all ages
