crying

**some mild spoilers**

i just saw this movie...i dont' remember the last time i cried during a movie, but i just couldn't stop. it wasn't even just at the really sad parts, like the end, but like when Kane stood up in class and commented on Great Expectations. I just exploded at that part.

I've never actually cried because of this movie, but I sure find the ending very sad.

Yes, it's true! IMDB has reached Sweden!

yea...cried for a long time....with the backgrnd music while he runs barefooted...and lets his machine bird fly across space and time...

happy to know sensitive ppl exist.

I managed to keep it in until the end where Kevin's mom said "His heart just got too big" That was just too ironic. That's when I broke down for pretty much the rest of the movie.

I've seen this movie a few times and inevitably sob for a prolongued time. The first time I saw it was in a plane. Bad choice for a plane movie, the whole plane was bawling!!! Pretty funny actually. Tears aside, it is a great flick, really strong characters. Sharon Stone shows her range and her stunning beauty. Kieran Culkin is a very underrated actor. The Mighty and Igby Goes Down should have resulted in a lot more movie work for him.

I can't imagine watching this on a plane. I'm a 40 year old Army Vet with 2 combat tours, in the first gulf war (1990) and Afghanistan (2003). And yes, I cried like a little girl.

Yeah, I was in my late teens a couple years ago when I first watched it, and the part when he runs into the building, looks around for help, then realizes it's not what he thought it was... (specifically when the article of clothing is removed from the side of the cart revealing the word "Laundry").......oh man, gets me every time.

Michael Crichton is to books as Alfred Hitchcock is to films.

Yes i must admit that it did make me cry. As soon as i saw the ambulance i filled up as Max found out that Freak never made the night. Also it was heartbreaking when he ran into the supposed "lab" according to Freak and found out it was a laundry and the way he just drops in floods of tears got me too and i was flooding. This film was so well done but i don't think it was that well known as it should have been.

I absolutely love this movie. This was one of first movies that actually made me cry before i don't know why people cry during movies. But this is amazing clearly one of my top ten.I have seen it 5 times & everytime i feel a rush of tears coming out.

i have seen this movie before, maybe 3 years ago and i thought it was sad and all that. I rented it and watched it yesterday and i knew everyhting that was going to happen (when he died) and when it happened, i started tearing up. It was just so sad. When he runs outside to the ambulance and just that whole scene.... it rips you apart inside.

I know exactly what you mean, I get teary-eyed like 10 times throughout the film at places where it's not even that sad! I think maybe it's the powerful music combined with the sadness and sort of magical feeling that saturates this movie that just gets to me. And then of course, at the end, when Kevin dies and Max finds out that the research facility is really just a laundry, I'm a wreck. In want of Kleenex. Even though I must have seen this film at least 10 times.
I think it's incredible, and I do not get why it "flopped", as it says on wikipedia... :/ It's by far one of my faves...!
