Inspired from a Twilight Zone episode?

This movie reminds me very much of the episode "The Whole Truth". Hmmmmm, Im surprised that its not even written in the Trivia section.

It seems like it, I'm watching that Twilight Zone ep now. They should list it on the trivia though. I've noticed a lot of films/other shows were inspired by TTZ, it makes you realize how great and original the show was.

Carrey's other 90's classic, The Truman Show, was also heavily influenced/inspired by the episode "Special Service" from the 80's Twilight Zone. I must say, they're all good.

wow, i never realised that, i must view that episode again as soon as possible. on truman show though, it may be inspired by an episode of the 80's twilight zone, but let me tell you it also reminds of the great episode "a world of difference" in the original 1950's twilight zone series. still i find this movie is to almost every point playing out as a mainstream 1990's flick, the children movie like background music, even the homeless guy managed to be corny. some of the highlights though is when he is outrageous like having an epileptic fit and the people around act as if nothing out of the ordinary, also this includes a scene peter griffin repeated and acted out in family guy. it was strange how the female leads new boyfriend looked and sounded like carrey, i recognise the actor in the bathroom from a few married with children episodes. there was something off with the credits, where i found this it said amanda peet had one of the main roles, and was randal tex cobb cut from the movie or something, he's found in the end credits even though he's hardly featured, you can barely see him and i'm still not sure if it was him, just some guy underneath a cover in the prison cell.
