Just curious. I have heard a lot that this island at the end was the one from Lost. However, given Stephen Sommers' absolute love of classic horror films (and now, apparently cartoons), did anyone else think that this was Skull Island? Home of King Kond?
Does anyone have a link to any Sommers interviews regarding this film? Any idea what he thinks about it and a possible future?

I never watched Lost so I cannot really comment there except I don't remember the Lost island being populated by monsters. but it definitely was not Skull Island. we see our heroes in the film land on a nice sandy beach. Skull Island however was all cliffs except for one small beach where the native village was located.

I definitely agree w/some of the points made by others who posted a reply as well.Being the fact it is an "older" released film,Lost &other films mentioned that came out later after this film was made to where its more accurate to say/wonder did they base them on this Island.
I have to say it was worth watching,&really do recommend on watching even though its an older release year-wise,but also surprised to see the movies actors being 1s I like that are well-known(such as films like X-Men,The Mummy,etc...).It is IMHO,Much better in terms of the "B-/B-MINUS Movie"phrase it ended up getting stamped with that Id honestly rate between 6-7ish,plus I would've watched a sequel if it were of the same quality "per say".Especially when Now,it seems like the line of using the B- Movie phrase now w/the various films being made seems to not only be More&More of them out there!But IMO are worse than what was considered B- Films like this one got labeled,newer films are harder to separate from bein decently good"B-",or havin a new label for ones that are Worse!!Just sayin'!!....
