Picnic at Hanging Rock - Widely considered to be Australia's greatest film, and I agree.
shareBreaker Morant

The Boys
Ten Canoes
Romulus, My Father
The Jammed
The Home Song Stories
Not any good ones no, sorry.
shareThe Proposition -- one of the best "western"-type of films made in the last 2 decades.
Visitors with Radha Mitchell -- a pretty good thriller
Picnic at Hanging Rock Love the "vibe" in this movie, one of those atmospheric movies.
Comedies - Muriel's Wedding and The Nugget
And let's not forget BMX Bandits with a young and perky --and very ginger and hairy-- Nicole Kidman... she sure aged well.
OK, this last movie sucked.
I recommend "The Fringe Dwellers", "Rabbit Proof Fence" and "Careful, He Might Hear You". All great movies. I also recommend "The Last Wave" with Richard Chamberlain and David Gulpilil.
"If I don't suit chu, you kin cut mah thoat!"
