So his grandson who was dying could goto disney land. So..I know this is 1998 but the fact that all the prisoners had cash on them just struck me as odd. Anyone do any time in the 90s? (98ish) Did the US prison system allow prisoners to carry cash on them? I thought this was why prisoners used carton of cigarettes in the 80s and 90s as currency. Today they use Honey Buns from what i have seen on TV shows like Lock-Up because US prisons banned cigarettes. I also confirmed the honey bun thing with my brother who did 10 years. But he didnt do time in the 90s so can't really ask him.
