Conversations with Dead People, Buffy says “I’m a committee!”

She’s talking about her commitment to killing vampires. But this line always strikes me as odd, given the episode “Normal Again.” As Whedon has stated, “Normal Again” allows you to believe what you want, whether it’s real or not, and like Whedon has said for himself, I prefer to believe that all the Slayer stuff is real. So “I’m a committee!” can definitely just be looked at as a throwaway line, but when Whedon’s behind it, it does make you wonder about what’s really there. Just something I’ve always found interesting.
