Favorite Moments

I realize this is a little seen film and shouldn't really expect much response to this thread, but I just watched this movie recently and wanted to share my favorite moments.

1. When Andrew borrows money from Amelia (his ex-girlfriend) to pay his phone bill, which he ran up having long distance, NY-to-CA, phone sex with a woman named Virginia! Amelia demands her money back.

2. When Frank gives his mole to Laura in a velvet jewelry box. Laura may have found it insulting, but I thought it was hilarious!

3. When Andrew and Amelia are in the hammock, presumably having a conversation about the things that the other did during sex that they hated and he said, "You licked my G**damn ears too much. It was wet. It was nasty. It wasn't sexy, and I didn't like it." Ha!

4. When Laura's client admits that he only said he saw devils so that he could get free therapy.

5. Amelia tells Andrew that she still has the black pants that she bought for him - the ones that caused him to panic and break up with her. He has no idea what she's talking about. Later, we see him trying them on (leather pants, no less) and asking, a little unbelievably, "I asked for these?" Then he laments that they don't fit and that he's getting fat. Amelia's laughter is priceless.

i totally agree. all of those scenes made me laugh out lout. especially 2, 3 and 4. i'm actually watching it again right now - i just guffawed at the part where she's at her therapist's and she goes on about how it was realistic to expect the video store guy to call her - i actually just transcribed the line, i loved it so much -

well, i mean, what's wrong with having an expectation, i *beep* the guy, he should call me! right? there's nothing wrong that rule! and now i can't even rent any *beep* videotapes, which is all i like to do in the first place!

i love the last part of that. hilarious.

oh and also - when amelia and andrew are talking to his dad (who has alzheimer's) at the barber, he repeats his line about the cold cuts, and amelia repeats her reply verbatim, andrew gives her this look - like, why are you saying what you just said? it's the most subtle thing, totally funny.

Oh Man! This is my all time favorite film - I don't know why but I loved everything about it...
Anyway, my favorite scenes are:

1. the "ugly guy" scenes

2. When Anne Heche's character gets the mole - hahahaha!

3. The part when Amelia is being "comforted" by the codependent cat ladies after her cat's suicide and she "suddenly feels better" to get rid of them.

4. The part where the actor/waiter is on stage - the "dialogue" was so hilariously bad on purpose, but still funny.

5. All the Andrew scenes... - I swear it sounded like his voice even though it wasn't as the crank caller.
Anyway there are so many more I love:)

This movie rocks!!!!!

I love when Amelia stops by to see Laura and it's just Frank and while they're talking he picks up a footie and says something like, "Isn't that the cutest thing" and then Amelia takes it, stretches it out, and says, "She wears a size 8..."

Also, when Laura shows up at Amelia's looking like a "drag queen." So funny!

LOVE this movie, just watched it again for probably my 10th time or so. My favorite moment is when Amelia and Andrew are in the hammock and she complains that he used to stick his finger in her belly button. He says, "You're thinking of somebody else." She totally cracks up and says, "I'm sorry, I am!" Keener's delivery of that line is so funny, it never fails to make me laugh.

"Edwina, I'm afraid I've come to spill jam on your party dress."
