American dub of this movie??

Supposedly there's an American dub of Trainspotting where they re-shot the first 20 minutes of the movie using clearer dialogue (toning down their accents) so that we 'Muricans could understand them better. Yet I've never seen that version available anywhere. Anyone know what's up with that?
