Question about sex scene

It’s a couple by themselves in a bedroom having sex. Why the hell are they covering themselves with a blanket?

Never understood that nonsense in movies/shows, or when women wear bras.

Either actors and directors need to fully commit to the scene or don’t have the scene at all.
