As a member of the REAL family

As you can see on my profile my name is Jennifer. As to some of the questions on the family that people have posted here i hope that can help some. First, no the real mother was not physically abusive to the girls, but she was not very loving to the girls. She did NOT have several boyfriend as the movie said but did start dating a man around the time that she left the girls at their aunts home and they were married and had a son who is the little boy in the movie and he was named after his father. This "boy" is a man now and my own step-father. when the girls mother married this man is when she took them back from Butch but by that time Carolyn had already passed away. You actually catch a glimpse of my aunts Kay and Debra at the end of the movie as they are standing at the new gravesite after the trial. It is the two oveweight (even though the dont think so lol) women that had no par in the movie. One is blonde and that is Kay and the other is a red head and that is Debra. This story was Based on the true story of a horrific time in their lives not all of it is true but most of it is the parts that arnt were changed to protect some of the victims, but it is through their courage that this movie was able to be made. I would also lie to say that I personally met Ms. Delta Burke before the filming of this movie and the detication that she had to make sure that our family was happy durring the proccess was wonderful and very much apriciated.
