Jack Black's death scene was pretty mean-spirited

I know this is a Tim Burton movie, but this death scene is just so messed up. JB is killed in spot, where not any camera, but EVERY gotdang camera just so happens to be facing, so he gets killed on live TV. And when his parents are at home watching, they try to change the channel, but it's a simulcast, so every channel is showing their baby boy being killed on live TV, and they're all like, "Nah, that didn't happen! Change the channel!"

I love this movie, but that was just messed up.

Oh yes! They should've killed him much more nicely! Ooo, you are right there!

What the hell are you talking about? About all the deaths had a mean-streak to them throughout the whole film, if you could've payed attention that long you would've noticed that much.

It's Mars Attacks!--it's supposed be that way, what the *beep*!

So they make the movie loyal to and consistent with the source-material, just like it's supposed to be, no problem, but you doldrums have menstrual issues because it's not something else instead!? ???

Wow, no wonder you suck so badly at making (way too many) remakes! And this thread is dumb, and reminds me why I stopped posting here with any regularity some time ago. Bozos hehehehehe

They should've beaten him to death with a bird-feather, one that tickles him instead. :-B

The Martians should've attacked the Earth not with killer ray-guns, but with big, soft, fluffy pillows, and then hit everyone, including but not limited to Jack Black, with the big fluffy pillows until they died. 

They should've killed the Earthlings by making them answer their own stupid questions on their own Internet, aw god, make it stop, MAKE IT STOP! 

When one looks at it, it feels like the Martians have no real major agenda, except that they were bored, and then just decided to do stuff.

Like how they come before Congress and vaporize most of them. I think think that's the weird logic of the film, is that when you look for a reason in the film, it doesn't give one.

Besides, Black's death was nothing compared to the stuff in the trading cards, where in one, you see a martian vaporize a dog, and another, they strap a guy to a cannon, and blast off his lower half, with his upper half still chained to the cannon, screaming in agony.
