How did he survive that fall?

Some SPOILERS - How did that young main bad guy during a fight with Geena Davis survive that huge fall and then get back into that helicopter for another confrontation?

And some spoilers also - in a flashback, how did Geena Davis' character survive getting shot in the head and then falling from a mountain and also, why didn't that incoming fire kill or even seriously INJURE Samuel L. Jackson's character when he was tied to the chair but simply allow him to fly over out of the window and then get saved by a tree and no injuries at all?

The bad guy survived because he fell into water.

Geena survived the fall because she fell into water, also the shot to the head was a graze or it didn't hit anywhere dangerous.

Samuel survived because he fell into the snow (made of water).

Geena and Samuel survive the fall out of the building because Geena shot the ice with the machine gun and they fell into water.

Geena survived being dunked into the water for long periods of time, because she can breath underwater. Ok I've gone off track, but the moral of the story is, that water doens't seem kill anyone in this film. :-) lol

I do love the movie. One of my favs.

Also, did you notice towards the end of the film on the bridge, when Samuel drives the car out of the lorry, the FBI guy talking to Geena on the walkiet-alkie, jumps out the way and bounces off the road as he hits the ground. I always laugh at that bit. I tried to you tube it, but coldn't find the clip.
