Im very into gay love stories whether its movies or books. I only have 1 gay movi. im very dissapointed its so hard to find them, if you know any good 'art' gay love stories or any movie about a gay men please send me the names. I thought this movie was amazing, definatly something im very into. i loved the twists in the story and they way it was done so the people acting out the story were shown as the people in the past too, so there were no women in the story because they were being played by men. I found it very hard to explain to my friends but they all really want to se it, maily because of the bath scene but i loved the whole story even though i did only buy it for the gay sex scenes.

Before Night Falls (2000)!

Amazing film. Not one of those stereotypical, superficial, faggy films. There's actually some depth to it.

one very similar in style is called "wild reeds" and if you can stomache a fabulous film about girls, please see "heavenly creatures" it will delight you and the horrify you to the core of you being...

It's really a great love story.

I would recommend Velvet Goldmine. It's directed by Todd Haynes, and it's one of my favorites.

My current top three:

1. Brokeback Mountain. Simply one of the most beautiful and heartbreaking films ever made. Story, acting, cinematography, score--well, everything--all superlative.

2. Yossi and Jagger. Hidden man-to-man love in the Israeli army. Amazingly concise (70 minutes!), packs as much emotional wallop as many films twice its length thanks to its cast's intelligent, sensitive acting.

3. Big Eden. Another gorgeous Rocky Mountain setting but this time with a happy ending. Perhaps requires a little suspension of disbelief about an incredibly gay-supportive community, but the fine acting allows it, IMHO.
