I thought this movie was funny! The elephant was so cute. I wonder why I never heard of it before it was played on cable one night. With Bill Murray, it should be more famous.

Most definitely underrated. It's one of my favourite films, I probably watched it 12 times as a child. I just had to rewatch it today after watching a youtube video of an Asian elephant who saw her bestfriend in 10 years. The line, "You know, they say elephants never forget. But what they don't tell you is you never forget an elephant." I automatically thought of Vera and this movie and had to stream it. This movie is remarkable. The critics are so very off, this movie is one of those movies that I'll never forget and loved as a child. After watching the film 17 years later, it still makes me emotional, happy, and teary eyed.
