2/3rd's a good Christmas movie with a horrible 3rd act

The first 2/3rd's of this is a really good and funny Christmas movie even if it's rather cheesy at times. However, the last third once it gets to the parade is so bad it almost ruins the movie for me. I get it's a kids movie, but the stuff with the suit was so wildly unrealistic and stupid it ruins the end of the movie. Also the kid giving Sinbad the doll after almost killing him was dumb.
