But rewind to the '90s, and the superhero movie landscape was quite different. DC had Batman, but what about Marvel? Marvel, now a mega powerhouse, was struggling financially and in debt for hundreds of millions of dollars. However, that didn't stop them from trying to make movies, even if they were made for TV or never released.
One such movie was "Generation X," based on the comic book team of the same name. The film was an 87-minute TV pilot that failed to launch a series.
