It was pretty good, though the survivors in the tunnel were very annoying, what with their whinning. He went there to save you, be grateful!!

I thought the movie overall was good, except for the one part after George gets caught under that car. There is like, a ten second scene there where Stallone does the CHEESIEST acting ever. Basically, it's him screaming:
"COME ON GEORGE. BREATH. IN, OUT, IN OUT! YOU GOTTA LIVE GEORGE. YOU GOTTA MAKE IT!"
and just the way he says it makes me laugh every time i see it.

To me this was a movie that qualifies for "so bad it's good"

Otherwise the George truck scene wouldn't have made me fall out of my chair laughing.And I liked George :P.

wow, i really liked this movie. to me i thought it had a lot of story and character development for an action movie. i actually cared about the people. most action movies are totally devoid of anything except explosions and gunfire but i thought this one had a little more. i gave it a 7 out of 10. that is my 2 cents.

i just saw this for the first time as part of a stallone 3 pack and i was pleasantly surprised, i ha dvery low expectations mind you as i had not heard much about this movie. but it was engrossing and even edge of your seat in parts. the silly ending was typical hollywood happy bs, but that aside all good.
shareThis is easily my favorite Stallone movie. One of those movies that I just get into the mood to watch...and can never find. As has been said before, this obviously isn't a film to be looked at for artistic qualities, but that being said it is as good as it gets for the genre. I would kill to have movies like this instead of the current popcorn flicks that are being passed off as decent entertainment.
shareOh my...I just watched this on TV a few minutes ago and I have seen it probably twice before many years ago (my sister likes it a lot for some reason) but yeah, it's pretty darn silly. Not the worst movie ever or anything but I did laugh through much of it. They should Rifftrax this one! I'll say it is way better than Volcano!

It wasn't bad, it was mediocre. However The Poseidon Adventure is superior on every aspect.

The Poseidon Adventure is a masterpiece. But this film was way better than the terrible remake that is Poseidon.
shareI only saw this movie twice when I was like seven years old and I managed to actually like this movie then I became 12 and watched it again it bored me, I also noticed that a lot of black guys die in this movie.
shareThe story had good potential but the execution was really bad! Everything was way over lit for being a caved in tunnel. There is no way one light tube could illuminate that whole cavrin and keep it lit when it becomes submerged. The acting is terrible
