Amen. Tis is a horrid pile of crap. It's exactly the sort thing that makes me embarassed at the Hollywood machine. Awful, awful crap.

reply

Terrible movie? I disagree. Obviously, it's far from a masterpiece, but Sly has made a number of films that are far, far worse, and it's a lot better than your average garden variety action/disaster flick.

Should take up reading......

Brilliant response to a thread about a MOVIE. Sorry but you're a jackass.

reply

It was interesting until Sly encountered that bunch of ungrateful, complaining, self-righteous bunch of jerks and idiots that had the bad luck to "survive" the accident. Shows the universe (and some script writers) has a perverse sense of humor.

The poseidon adventure in a tunnel, with better special effects. There have been a lot worse movies made, but this is certainly not the worst of the lot. Rating I think sums it up well.

This film is so bad, I had to open all the windows in the house to let the stink out while it was on!!!

I was trying to pull this very good looking young woman, and she really wanted to watch it with me...

Damn you Stallone for making such sh ite, this is a B movie with a Big Budget

reply

To everybody who thinks Stallone sucks big time - well, why don't ya find somebody else to complain about if ya think he's just a bad actor or worse???
You can't blame Stallone for making "Daylight" a bad movie, or just a rip-off of older catastrophe movies out there. Everybody should know that the film industry suck out all of the great ideas of past blockbusters to try to make their own box office hits! What's wrong with that? You can't possibly expect every movie to be "the best movie of all time" even if you hope it to be a big success. All it ever wants is just to try and make a good movie. They didn't expect an oscar for greatest actor or so, so what's with all the BS slandering of him? If you don't like the movie, why don't you critizise it in a better way other than saying it's just plain bad?

Everybody's got the right to their own opinion, but I don't see what purpose it serves when somebody just critize, without telling why. I just figured that people who post in here want this to be a great place to share opinions and discuss what is wrong with a movie instead of just badmouthing it! So if people doesn't have a brilliant explanation to what they think about the movies of Stallone, then why bother post it? All you do is waste your time, so find something better to do.

All in all, I find this movie to be a good offer for Stallone in this genre. I don't think he could've played another movie like this better than he did. It's true that Stallone repeatly looks the same in every movie he makes, but again. He gets slammed for taking roles other than action-rocky-ramboi sh roles. Seems to me people are afraid he might sound too much human in a movie like this. I like the fact that he gets to team up with a bunch of people - that is why he doesn't carry the whole movie himself. Yeah, I know there's some flaws in the script and the acting, but it's mainly because they couldn't get anybody better to suit the cast of characters, or so? I don't know the reason, but I guess its all a part of the process of a movie when you try and find actors that fit into the movie.

One thing I would change in the movie if I could, I would've let Sly sacrifice himself. So it distance him from the typical hero/Rambo role.

Well, I could write a lot more about the movie, what's good, what's bad, but I don't want to, 'cause I would use all the space to analyze why I like this movie so much.

Out of 10 I give it 8...

".....Everybody's got the right to their own opinion....."

Thanks for reminding everyone.

Is it just me, or is the Internet full of retards who remind others 200 times an hour that they have a right to their opinion? Or how about when said *beep* decides to decree that a particular statement is, in fact, an opinion; as though we couldn't have known that?

No *beep* *beep* *beep* We don't need a bulletin about the obvious.

Yeah, you've just proven my point!
All you can do is critize everybody else, just for some fun, apparently???
Then what the f... is this forum about? Slandering of other people? I suggest you're not responding to a certain post in here if you don't like what it says. But when it comes down to plain stupid remarks like yours (in case you've missed it you STILL can have your opinion of this). It just serves no purpose, and Stallone atleast deserves a better critc than what I've been reading all over his site. If you're that bored, I suggest you find a better way than this. And that goes for everybody else who acts like a stupid child. It a crying out shame, that's what it is! Yes I know.

good points: it's pretty funny. First there's sly's speech on the dangers of raw oysters then there's a great dramatic moment when the cop is eaten by the truck...

One of the only characters that did deserve to survive--the dog--did not. That alone was enough to get me to pan this film. For its genre it wasn't bad, though, and I found Stallone's character surprisingly likeable (not a big Stallone fan).

reply

What are you talking about? The dog doesn't die.

reply

He doesn't? I thought he went under! *dances for the dog* Now I can like the film. (Hey, I never said I wasn't fickle.)
