The Best Lois Lane Ever

This is my favorite interpretation of Lois Lane. She's smart, funny, competent, ambitious, gutsy and still hold an air of sophistication (unlike the Smallville version). Lois is just classy and takes her career seriously. I just think this is the best Lois Lane ever.

Completely agree. She also had real strength in character. She wasn't so head over heels in love that she couldn't stand up to the super villains, or even Superman, when she needed to.

Agreed 110%. Best Lois Lane EVER.

My favorite Lois Lane is Erica Durance... but this one comes a close second

The way the smallville version is written Lois comes across as unintelligent, unsophisticated and unfocused. There is no real maturity or growth with her.

I'm a year late but who cares. I agree that this version of Lois Lane is the best, second would be Teri Hatcher. Smallville's Lois is too unintelligent and unsophisticated for my taste. And in S10 they have destroyed her character by turning her into Clark's cheerleader rather than his partner.
The animated Lois was physically the best, and don't say its because she was a cartoon because I have seen some badly drawn cartoon Lois'. And she was intelligent, educated, brave, ambitious, and feminine without being weak or overly vulnerable even when near Superman. I like how when she gets the story of who he is she is skeptical about the alien business. And when she gets thrown into an alt universe and meets its Superman she slaps him for not speaking up sooner about how he felt about her.

Lois Lane=Leia Lane

I like Teri Hatcher the best of all. This animated Lois is irritating and full of wisecracks no matter what the situation is. It gets tiresome fast. They really missed an opportunity to infuse the series with improved characterizations like they did with Batman, which is a shame. Unfortunately, Batman would later change it's style and start mimicking this step down in quality.

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

I really enjoyed Teri hatcher as Lois Lane, she was smart, funny, elegant, she was also capable of taking care of herself. Also like Margot Kidder, they made Lois fun

reply

I don't know; I still enjoyed Margot Kidder, and Noel Neil was pretty darn good.

Teri Hatcher was amazing as Lois, but THIS Lois from the Animated Series is definitely the TOP of the top for me, from the way she looked to how strong she was, she will always be my favorite. Even now re-watching some episodes I find it odd when she is kidnapped or in danger because of how tough she is... kicking Mercy's ass and constantly standing up for the right thing even when Clark is too timid to.... she's just the best.

reply

Really!? You guys think the Lois from The Animated Series is the best!? I like Dana Delaney but I think her voice acting was way too monotone and really lacked any emotion.

reply

It's about a draw between this version of Lois Lane and Teri Hatcher's. They both had spark and charisma. If I had to choose only one, I'd probably have to give the edge to Hatcher since her character got a lot more focus on her series, and you know, I prefer real-life hotties over animated hotties (though if I had to choose, I'd probably choose the real-life Dana Delany over Hatcher, ironically enough). Certainly, either version was far, far superior to the grating Margot Kidder and the boring Kate Bosworth.

Imagine her kicking a sex pest at work in the balls.
