BESIDES them being criminals themselves, would the stuff they tried to frame him for even work, legally?

Also...

Were his vigilante acts themselves LEGAL, and what about stealing that motorcycle?

How would he SPOILERS - explain especially the death of Bruce Payne's character at the end?
