Giving this a rewatch after many years, 3 thoughts...

Just came across this on Netflix, for some reason I remember watching this movie quite a few times around about 12-ish.

1.) This is some crazy 90s wardrobe! Moore's outfit after the first appointment with the crazy doctor, in all it's "mid thigh overall dress layered on long sleeved blouse" glory , was worn by pretty much every white girl over 16 in 1995. It's a very fun journey back in time lol

2.) This is very much a nostalgia movie. Watching it again after almost twenty years since the last time, objectively this movie is not that good. There's worse out there, but it's pretty formulaic and not as funny as I remembered.

3.) The Tom Arnold & Joan Cusack characters are so freaking obnoxious and raising some annoying brats. They're obviously meant to add comedy but it feels like some sitcom characters were written into a movie.

It was a fun movie to revisit though slightly disappointing from what I remembered.

When you're 17 a cow can seem dangerous and forbidden...am I alone here?

Yes. Pains me to say it because I love Hugh Grant, but I really dislike this movie. It tries too hard to be funny, then sappy. Fail. Reminds me of my exact feeling when I saw "Stepmom".

Hugh Grant was the worst thing in it. The part was sillier than he is used to and he didn't figure out what to do with it. What he should have done is thought about what Cary Grant would have done.
