I don't even get it. Why get all those actors? Like Dwayne Johnson. Honestly though this might not even get made. I don't get what they're thinking. This so far seems to have a mostly male cast making me think remake isn't the right word.

OK, maybe Kevin Hart will play the black cop, and it makes sense that The Rock plays adult Alan or Van Pelt.

But who the hell is Jack Black supposed to be?

Ugh that's annoying. This film really does not need a remake. I don't mind those actors but really don't want to see them in this.

According to imdb, it's not a remake, it's a sequel

I don't think it's a remake - it isn't going to be the same story or characters, The Rock isn't playing Alan Parish or anything like that, it'll be a sequel with a completely new plot - I wonder Van Pelt will be in it?
