Why weren't the bullies in 1969 ever punished for beating up Alan?

Why do they pull this "Karma Houdini" BS in films like this. Hell even Pay It Forward did the same f-cking thing except the bullies actually killed a kid and even 1984's Silent Night, Deadly Night had a killer Santa Claus that murders Billy's parents. Why do they use this stupid "Karma Houdini" crap to let a bad guy get away with his crimes? It's a really f-cking bad thing filmwriters seem to do sometimes.

Because It's unrealistic - life isn't a cheesy after school special/Disney movie, it would be pointless to have a scene of the bullies being told off by their teachers or punished or whatever the next day

Billy loses Sarah to Alan. I guess that's his "lame" punishment. At the end the good guy gets the girl and they live happily ever after:D

^^^and gets his manhood in Sarah, now that's she is pregnant, so payback has been established. Alan, after seeing all the evil, crazy stuff in the jungles, probably would kill Billy in a fight, so him scoring with Sarah is a better revenge.
Bhahhahahahhaha

Spoiler alert for them spoil sports out there! Y'all like spoiled milk, stop crying over it!

I agree with other posters here. The comeuppance of the bullies isn't central to the story. But, growing up seeing movies with happy endings, we're used to seeing the bad guys get punished. So we come to expect it in movies and some of us end up expecting it in real life too. Sadly, in real life, bullies often just get away with it and turn into adult bullies. YR
