I just put this movie in to watch.. This along with DEN OF THIEVES are my 2 favorites.. I'm skeptical whether DEN OF THIEVES 2 will be as good as the 1st movie?? HEAT has such an amazing cast and hard to believe Michael Mann is making a sequel to this??
shareI finally broke down and watched this movie for the first time just before it leaves the Netflix app on the 31st. I've been putting it off for years. lol...
But yeah, it's a pretty solid film, I do think Pacino was over-acting a little too much. The guy is always raising his voice and throwing crap around. Pffftt... it seemed a little forced. And the movie felt somewhat contrived and was a little slow at the beginning, it takes a while for something to become interesting.
The best scene has to be the ***MINOR SPOILER**** bank robbery scene. That was one hell of a gun fight.

Still, it has a pretty good story and some interesting twists and whatnot. I'll give it a 6.5 out of 10. But I've seen quite a few crime dramas that I liked more than this. The most recent one I saw with Pacino was Donnie Brasco which I liked way more than this.
