Yeah, it is really crazy how much time has passed since this movie came out. To be honest I don't even remember hearing about this move when it came out as I was in my second year of college and completely absorbed in that mess. I didn't discover this movie until a few years later when AMC started airing it.To be honestly I have AMC to thank for my love of the franchise (I even like part 3). I think that it's a better constructed series than the Friday the 13th series and The Nightmare On Elm Street films. Although I do enjoy those very much. However, I really didn't enjoy the last two or the Remakes. So, I never watch them. For me too much time had gone by and the feel of the original series was lost. I'd even go as far to say that this movie doesn't quite feel like the movies that proceeded it. I still like it though, but the whole looking up Michael Myers on the internet thing leaves much to be desired. I know that time had gone by, but that part should have been left out.
