When the ice drops

Why is there so much emphasis on the part when the ice drops when Craig's dad asks for a drink from Craig? He picks it up and puts it in his glass which is disgusting but any particular reason he did this? I mean it's his dad at the end of the day.

reply

Yes! Lol that scene has bothered me my whole life. (Been watching it since I was a kid) and no one ever seems to be bothered or amused by it . My only guess is that it was the equivalent of spitting in his drink, without actually having to do so himself.

And then his dad says "Took long enough." and Craig just smiles and says "I know." Then his dad takes a sip and picks something out of the water and rubs it on his shirt. It was probably a piece of dirt from the floor or something.

reply

Because he's Ice Cube

reply

he dropped the ice on floor and put the dirty ice in his glass his father took a sip and then took something out his mouth and looked at it not cause his name is icecube

reply

that's what parents get for taking *beep* & asking a favor of a child. especially handling food or drink.

child please

reply

Its a reference. He dropped an ice cube. His name is Ice Cube.

reply

It probably had to do with him being high, everything is emphasized more when you're high. He also wanted to get back at his dad so that might be why the ice cube dropping was emphasized.

reply

because his dad got on his nerves, and its a harmless unspoken and victimless "revenge."

reply

I enjoyed watching Ice Cube drop an ice cube.

reply

I'm not sure why that scene show in slow mo like that, when I first saw it I figured he was going to pick the ice cube up and put it in his dad cup.

reply

1. He was high. Everything was in slow-mo. It's like when a drunk person touches a hot stove but their brain is so slow that it takes forever for them to notice the heat.

2. He was slowly deliberating whether or not to put the ice back in the glass.

3. And I guess because his name is Ice Cube(?). Lol.
