What age did you start reading the books?

I was 7. The librarian gave me hard time at first and was all 'I think you should try another book because this one might be a little to hard for you'. When i first read them i would finish them in a bout a week. By the time I was 8,9 years old i was reading them in about 2-3 days.

I think I was 9 when I started reading them. I'm now 21 years old. And still enjoying them. Specially the books about Mary Anne and the ones that mentioned Shannon.

I was born in the same year that the series was launched in 1986.

I started reading them at five but only because my next door neighbor was a friend of hers from college and she had 'em lying all over her house w/ nobody to read 'em so she gave 'em to me.

I was eight when I started reading the books. My mom had seen them in a store and bought a couple. I really liked to read them. I would get news ones every few months and read them in a couple of days.

I was about nine years old when I first started reading the books and it was the tail end of primary, my first year at high school when my obsession started to ebb and I discovered Point Horror. By that point, the idea of kids of eleven and thirteen being allowed to babysit was just ridiculous.

I was about 11 when I first started reading the BSC books. Once I started I couldn't put them down. It would take me about 1 to 2 days. Then I got to the point where I could finish them in half a day if I could read that long. Anyways, those books were so addictive to me, I remember I would order those collection of books out of the book order magazine we used to have back in elementry school.

I was eight. Completely devoured them. That's when I really became an avid reader. I had about fifty or sixty in all. Good memories. I even tried writing my own fan fiction, though at the time, I didn't know what it was.

That's the last time I buy anything because it's fuzzy.

I was 7 when I started reading them and absolutely credit these books to sparking my love and passion for reading. I remember being so impatient for each new book to come out and when it did I would completely devour it. They were always on my Christmas and birthday wish list :) I think I was about 12 when I started to lose interest in them and move on to more mature reading material. Every once in awhile I would be in a book store and pick one up and read through it (even in high school) just to catch up! A couple of years ago I came across a box with my original books in it and decided I wouldn't mind having the entire set for my future daughters. Boy was I shocked to find out just how many of them there were!!! I slowly started filling in the gaps and as of today I have the whole set....and yes I did go back through and read the ones I never had :)

I am 28 yrs old now and still love this series. Afterall it was a huge part of my life when I was young. I think it is a quality series that is almost timeless in its appeal to young girls and hopefully my daughters will eventually read and love them as much as I did!

I started reading the babysitters little sister books when I was about 10 and started the regular BSC books at about 11. I read them until I was 19 because I loved them so much. Near the end I could read one in a hour.

I was about 8 or 9. My parents signed me up for the book club so I always got them in the mail, but I never read them until one fateful day, out of sheer boredom and curiousity, I actually cracked open one of the books and magic happened... I actually liked reading! (22 now)

I was about 8 & 9 too. All the girls in my class were reading them.

I miss the series. I am desperate to read the last book in the friends forever series.

I was 7 when I first started reading them. They were my favorite series all the way through 8th grade. Then I really got into the California Diaries series because the themes were more serious. But I will still occasionally pick one up and read it (I'm 22 now). I love them, they take me back to childhood plus I have quite a few. My favorite was Kristy's Big Day.

I think I was about 11 when I first started reading BSC. I kind of forgot how I came across reading the book I think I saw the book in the libary or something. Ever since then I've just been reading them like crazy. I'm 26 now and I still have my collection of BSC, every now and then I'll read them when I've read out of books to read. I plan on giving my collection to my daughter when I have one.

I got my first BBC book for my ninth birthday from a friend. I had a sleepover and I stayed up all night reading it. It was one from the Karen series (Kristi's younger step-sister). I started reading the older girls' stories not long after that.

i started to read the 'little sister' series (karen brewer narrated) when i was 5-6 and then moved on the BSC when i was about 6-7 years old. 22 now and have kept my MASSIVE collection (i think i owned probably over 100 books in the series) for when i have kids!
