90's Spider Man Cartoon Morbius story arc

Inspired by the hype about the first pics of Jared Leto as Morbius. Now, I have fond memories of the 90's Spidey cartoon, just like many others do. The writing was damn good and the voice casting was superb, and in several cases they did a good job of following story plots from the comics. However, the animation has not held up well at all, particularly the shots where they tried to incorporate CGI. And particularly, the unbelievable censorship the show struggled under that helped spawn a thousand memes #VenomDrivingATruck. But for the most part, I remember the show with nostalgia. That said, the story arc where Peter Parker's spider infused DNA is going through wild mutations drove me crazy, even as a kid. It dragged on way too long and it had more guest stars than all the seasons of the Dean Martin show combined.

As I recall, this was the story that introduced Michael Morbius. But, due to that heavy handed censorship, he could not drink blood-he drank plasma. And instead of biting his victims, he sucked the blood through little suckers in his palms. They also introduced Blade-but instead of guns he had laser weapons, and instead of a sword he had a lightsaber. Once Morbius was wrapped up, they had a crossover with the X Men. And once that was done, they brought in The Punisher-who, again, had lasers instead of guns. And along the way they introduced The Vulture, Silvermane, and had return appearances by Scorpion and Kraven. And finally, Peter turned into a giant spider monster to put the big bow on top of it. A story arc that probably should have taken a single season felt like it took two or three-and even after it was over, they ended up bringing Morbius back at some future point. Did I miss anything?
