Most heartbreaking or difficult or disturbing part of this show to you?

What was the most heartbreaking/difficult/disturbing part of this show to you?

For me, it's the death of Spider-Man's wife.

Because even when Spider-Man gets the "real Mary-Jane" back... she will NOT be the person who married him, she will NOT have those memories of the wedding, of him unmasking for her, of the beginning of their married life, etc.

That clone has the real MJ's memories and genes and personality... but she was also her own person, and she is the person who Peter married. A clone is nothing more than an identical twin, born at a different time and conceived in a different, but still its own complete person.

She wasn't a robot; she was real. She loved. She married. She died.

And she'll never live again.

I hated that episode. Thankfully I never watched that episode as a kid. They shouldn't have done the clone saga at all. That whole episode is based on a stupid comic from that time where the Jackal creates a clone of Gwen right in front of Peter and his clone. Then the clone of Gwen melts into a puddle of goo in front of them. It was a stupid story and anybody with a shred of talent would not use it in a cartoon or movie.
