Just rewatched after decades of its initial release

I didn't really care for it, but watching it again I can see all of the 90s uplifting tropes and "Life Lessons" narratives this movie presents. It actually makes you miss a time in movie story-telling where being cynical wasn't cool, unlike today with everyone empowered (so they think) with the immediacy of cloud computing, smartphones, and all the conveniences of superfast data being available.
