... joined the evil organization and switched over to the dark side because his family was murdered (?!!!), so in other words, he was a good normal guy before but the tragic event caused him to join and side with the bad guys?

And one of them also has a son who has standards and is reluctant about killing anyone including such characters as our homeless main character played by Ice-T?

Were the makers of this movie aiming to make it MORE than just a typical and standard Hard Target/Most Dangerous Game type of action thriller movie?
