Its funny when Stallone throws that bloke out of the bus window and says to woman "There appears to be a vacancy". It has me in stitches every time.

last line of the movie

Stallone: How do you feel?
Stone: Better.

Yes, I agree -I'm not a big Sly fan, but Stallone looked fabulous in this movie and that scene where he pulled Sharon STone up from a lying-down position in the bed was just FABULOUS! But I digress - Eric Roberts is a an unusual type of sexy guy. I wonder why he's never hit the big-time like his sister. I like that fighter nose he's got - and those eyes! Good actor, too. For just sheer entertainment, this was a great movie.

the reason eric robertsis not as big as his sister is because he cant act not since he used his status to get her in movies he was a big time actor back in the 80s but once he used his star to get her movies she out shined him

reply

Steveday,
Stallone said the line just like dolemite said.

The things you own end up owning you.

I love one of the last lines:
"EL BASTARDO" (EXPLODES)
I still spurt it out randomly from time to time!

reply

Aslan005 Watch Best of the Best. Eric plays a good guy in that one.

reply

" what are you a Fu%kin fan?" Thomas says to woods

reply

Rod Steiger: "Take the bitch"

reply

Exactly. That was excellent! James Woods just ad-libbed that and kept it in the movie. Classic!

reply

agree completely - this is one of my favourite lines

reply

Yes...that too!

And also the one when Stone says: Harry, she'll call you back! just before smashing up the old bitch dobermann look who was using a 'huge' mobile phone...:)

reply

Yeah, i was cracking up at that line. I'll bet James Woods improvised that one.... It's a tie between this and "there appears to be a vacant seat" (i think that was the actual line but either way i cracked up)

reply

Nice ones!

This is one of the funniest unintentionally funny movies I've ever seen and the production and directorial choices make it even funnier :D

reply

Okay here is the exchange between Eric Roberts and Sly when he walks past the car with Sharon Stone in it.....

Roberts: Do we know each other? Cause the way your staring we must be old friends.

Stallone stairs off trying not to make eye contact.

Roberts: The bitch....you like the bitch?

Stallone now making eye contact but still not acknowleging Roberts

Roberts: Or maybe you like me? ( He then makes a kissing action at him)

Stallone: No...I don't like you

Roberts: Well quit staring so hard ( pulls switch blade and opens it to within an inch of his face), cause you might gets something stuck in your eye.

Stallone walks away.

Roberts: *beep* Pervert

This was one of the best scenes in the movie, had me in stitches!

THAT'S SO TRUE. You never can imagine Michael Douglas doing that postition to Sharon Stone...(afterall, it was about woman's power, woman on top in BI)
Eric was cool, way better than he was in that stinky film with Kim Basinger, Richard Geres and Uma Thurman...

I think the vacancy line was really good in the movie...
Ray, "I believe here's a vacancy!" He was so cool

I don't intend to be offensive, but I have to defend my opinions.

"#@&k the b!+@#"

"We were so good togheter, Ray. You were the rigger, I was the trigger" - love that line :)

I have a soft spot for this film. I loved it when I was younger.

"get outta here! get a new shirt!" james woods

reply

I forget the exact dialogue, but there's one scene where James Woods storms into a funeral and forces the procession to open the casket at gunpoint, and when he sees it's not May, he just says "BITCH" and storms off lmao they must have thought he just hated that dead woman

My favorite line!

that seat's taken.

does 'the specialist' refer to him being some sort of special bus seat police?

By far the best is when James Woods (Trent) won't let the old couple on the elevator and tells the man "Get a new shirt". The old man had a Magnum PI style shirt and this line cracks me up every time!

But Woods' rant inside the police station (with Stallone on the phone) is priceless too! It's not a line but a series of them & it's just hilarious.

Love it too when Trent calls the policeman "Ace".

James Woods made this film!

reply

This isn't necessarily a great line but I love the build-up to it... When Stallone calls the bait number to the station where Woods is and asks them to put Trent on the line... When they decline he starts personally insulting Trent as an attempt to anger him into talking. He does it for quite a while and when Trent builds up his anger finally he yells "F-you, Ray, F-you!!!"

Love that part!
