Totally agree, I guess some people can't stomach the fact of Pesci and Slater playing such low key characters.
Yet take a look at Pesci's street rant and abuse at the car driver after the theft: beats anything he's ever done in the nuts department, including "what do you mean I'm funny" routine in Goodfellas.
This really is one of the more overlooked films ever...
shareI totally agree. This is an intelligent comedy that pokes fun at Hollywood, much as Robert Altman did in "The Player." I suspect the low rating is caused by fans of Joe Pesci and Christian Slater who wanted a more conventional film. This movie has a very independent spirit, and it works perfectly.
shareJust discovered this movie while working my way through the Christian Slater filmography for laughs. This movie is a hidden gem. Peschi is amazing, and Slater is great, he held back, he didn't go full retard.
