Doesn't Reggie need protection too?

She's now just as involved as the boy.

I just watched this movie for the 100th time, and was thinking the same thing.

No , because Barrys Uncle had him killed in the end & that was the end of it. The uncle told Barry not to kill the Senator and not to tell Romy too much but he did both anyway, causing the whole situation to happen, so I think the uncle viewed the whole thing as Barrys fault, hence the uncle saying he was glad Barrys mother was dead so she couldnt see his stupidity, Barry was pushing the uncle in the whole thing, when the uncle didnt want to be involved anyway, he only was because of Barrys "stupidity" which caused Barrys demise. Reggie was only doing her job as a lawyer.
Sammy the bull Gravano had a lawyer when he turned & ratted on Gotti & nothing happened to him or them, so lawyers I think arent in any danger being its there job.

I've always thought that. They don't know that Barry was killed. They sent the kid off for protection and they knew she was involved. Guess it would have gotten too complicated and the ending wouldn't have worked. Great movie either way.

Most mob's try not to draw a lot of attention on to themselves. It's bad for business. Kidnapping and killing the Senator was a terrible move by Benny, and Romy's suicide dragged it out even more. Benny's uncle just wanted to make this whole thing go away, and getting rid of Benny would do that, especially now that the DA has found the body at Romy's house.
