With the lead female character in this movie...

… are we supposed to identify, sympathize, be entirely on her side etc, and not JUST because she happens to be attractive? Or...

Are we supposed to think it its absolutely correct for her to be in jail and not even in a cynical way are we meant to root for her to escape with or without the help of those escorting officers?

Even WITH the film being generally a COMEDY and perhaps it wasn't meant to be too thought provoking and any side we pick is up to us?
