I bet you didn't notice this, please respond if you did

When Rita drives up to the cabin, she starts to creep up and turn her headlights off when she gets near........ If you look at the windshield it shows the reflection of the trees in the moonlight, and when the car stops, there is a reflection that looks like the face of Hitler, right in the center of the windshield. Obviously it means nothing and wasn't intended. But watch that scene again and see if you see it.

That sounds so frightening. Do you think it could've been Jeff Bridges' reflection? He grabbed her shortly after she got out of the car. Reflections can be distorted when they appear on a windshield (especially when there's some frost on it). If you remember, Denise drew an infinity sign in the frost.

I just saw it again tonight and I did notice it. The reflection of the leaves on the trees in the window constantly changed and looked like the face of Hitler just as she turned the car off. I wonder if this was intended.

To the original poster, thepimpestsmith188: Great eye!

It is 5-1/2 years after your original post and I just happened to be reading this post immediately following watching the film. I just went to the scene and watched Rita drive in, kill her lights, and coast, and there on the screen, just to the left of the center of the car, was the outline of Hitler's face. However, it wasn't on the windshield. The outline, formed by leaves, was actually seen through the windshield and out through the back window after Rita passed that part of the tree. You can catch this by watching a bit past the appearance of the outline. When Rita reaches her arm back to the backseat to remove the case off the seat her arm momentarily crosses in front of and blocks the outline. I don't think this was likely to be on purpose. If you watched when she drives in the leaves are there seen out the back window, but they appear gradually and it was apparently just a fluke that when she stopped the car the leaves were in just the right position. I didn't see the image at all the first time, but when looking for it after reading this post it was gradually seen clearly as Diane coasted the car forward. Again, great eye!!! Interesting. I have to say I am so glad I still had the DVD in the player so that I could instantly look. This would have been frustrating if I had already dropped the DVD in the mail box. For now (07/31/13) I have posted this photo on my facebook back. Link: https://www.facebook.com/judi.fryer/media_set?set=a.10151734893702509.1073741832.694582508&type=3&uploaded=1#!/judi.fryer/media_set?set=a.10151734893702509.1073741832.694582508&type=3

I may come up with a better idea for location in the future.

I have the DVD and I checked it a while back. Scary!

I was reading through the messages here while watching the movie on cable. The face is noticeable if you're looking for it and is likely just a fluke. I grabbed a picture with my phone, since the link someone else posted has expired.

Actually, I just saw this movie for the first time, and wasn't looking for it, and like the OP, I did spot it right away. However, I had just been reading up on Nazi Germany quite a bit just yesterday, so I sort of had Hitler on my mind a bit to begin with.

Obviously wasn't intended by the filmmakers, though. It's just one of those little things that happens with images sometimes.
