I went to the movie theater to watch this back in 1993 when it came out. I did not think it was a bad movie back then at all. They were showing it today on SPIKE TV. This film use to be shown a lot during the 90's on USA Network before NBC bought them out and altered the programming of a perfectly good network.

Yeah you are possibly correct that it is cheap to show those films. I can remember back when I was growing up all you ever saw on the weekends were the old classic films in black and white. That went on until about the late 80's until other major networks started to show more current and up to date movies.

This movie is terrible. Trust me, if you think this is a "good" film, you need to assess how your brain critically reasons and interprets stuff, cause something is wrong with you.

I wouldn't disparage someone for holding on to it as a guilty pleasure, or taking enjoyment out of the initial car chase or the bad guy's performance, but to argue that it is well made film is complete folly. Anyone who would recommend this film to others is a cancer. I could list 200 better police procedurals / serial killer movies off the top of my head.

I haven't seen this film in a long time, but I remember thinking that it was pretty awful (besides the opening car chase and Bruce Willis holding a shotgun). I am tempted to watch it again, but I'm not sure where my copy is. It'll probably be cheap though, so I may as well get it on DVD.

Great cast, though. I forgot they were all in it, even Tom Atkins!

You're trying to give it more credit than it deserves, most people don't even remember it.

I don't know why people hate it. I rather like it.
Bruce Willis does well in it. I will say the film drags out way too long, but it keeps your interest throughout.
I was actually surprised who the villain was, because I thought it was 'too obvious'.
Plus, in the '90s, films didn't always have endings like those. Today, there are sadly few surprises for endings.

good suspenseful film.

I'd say it's a bit too long, and that it reminds me of a made for television film, but it wasn't too bad. Definitely not Willis' best. Not his worst either though.
