Why does this have a low rating?

Meh, because all the characters are hateable(hate-able? either way)?

Seriously, I had to pause this movie five or six times after yet another abomination of a human being introduced themselves in the most overwritten way possible. "A CRETIN, A CRETIN!" Seriously? Who the *beep* talks like that? Why would anyone want to see a movie that isn't a period piece where people talk like that?

Because Will Smith's character was extremely smarmy? Because when the movie tries to be funny it's not? I don't know, those are just some of the things I thought of.
