Some comments/questions I jotted down on my recent rewatch

--The intercutting with the helicopters at the beginning is really effective cinematically and ties the disparate stories together nicely.

--How did the cop not cause an injury, kissing his mistress with a toothpick in his mouth?

--A very long movie that doesn’t feel long. Partly just because it’s so great, of course; but also because it intercuts among so many different stories it never drags.

--How does a couple composed of a birthday party clown and her unemployed husband afford chamber orchestra tickets?
