Rudy's girlfriend sucked...

I mean, seriously, who starts dating their ex's brother. That was just wrong. She couldn't look farther than the bedroom over?

reply

She was a tw@t for sure. She only wanted what she wanted; pi$$ on what Rudy wanted--"ooh! isn't it cute? It's got a big kitchen.........."

I couldn't stand her; she a butch hag with greasy hair. Rudy did well to walk away from her. And exactly--who goes for their ex's brother? And what brother goes for your ex?

They deserved each other.

reply

It's a good thing she did not find out about his secert nest egg. The ball and chain would have taken it.

It's a mortal sin to date a brothers girl or a sisters guy.

The brother did not date "his brother's girl". He dated someone his brother used to date. She had told Rudy she wouldn't wait for him. She and Rudy were broken up when she and the brother started dating. Can make things a little uncomfortable, but it's not a sin. And since they got married, they were clearly right for each other.

Still, it's a thing that should never be done.

"And since they got married, they were clearly right for each other. "

Just because people get married doesn't mean they're right for each other. That's why divorce exists.

reply

Look buddy, she put in her time. She was very patient waiting for them to save up, so they could get married and do this right. Rudy owed her.

reply

Did you see the look on his face, when Johnny came walking in the front door with Rudy's girl. He was about to attack him.

I do think his mom felt sorry about the whole thing; and understod his dream but she just kept quite.

Amen to that.

reply

Dudes...I think bblase was being facetious. He pulled the quote directly from the movie.

reply

yep sounds like something my ex would do.

I KNOW 2 things that are clear.I'm a great sinner,Christ is a great Savior.

Im sorry, i'm fine
hahahaha....great response!

All I know is that revenge is sweet. I can imagine how 20 years later, when Rudy is flying on jet airplanes and making speeches at schools two to five times a week at $2000 a pop, how terrible she must have felt.

I would love to see the look on her face when she wanted to be accepted back into his life after what she did to him and he smiled back at her and said, "no".

Rudy's a-hole ex was probably the most realistic thing in the movie.

reply

Rudy's girlfriend was a complete b!tch. I mean come on...it's not like he went to Timbuktu. He went to South Bend, IN...less than 100 mi. away. If your relationship can't survive that kind of distance, you shouldn't have been together in the first place.

Was Rudy's ex based on a real person?

I don't want my brother's sloppy seconds. Rudy's real brother was more supportive than the character in the movie. The same goes for Notre Dame head football coach Dan Devine.

I know Rudy was very focused on Notre Dame football. But you think he could have found a little time to date during college. Did he get laid even once? College in the '70s was a giant fvck farm.

reply

"farther than the bedroom over?"

Rudy had about 15 siblings running around the house. It was probably the same bedroom.

reply

The brother deserves some blame too, no? Who dates a brother’s ex?
