...when Kagero offered herself to him? Maybe because she said Dakuan told her the poisons in her body would nullify those in Jubei's, but Jubei didn't trust Dakuan one bit?

Maybe he felt like he was essentially raping Kagero and when they first met she was getting sexually assaulted by that golem type ninja. His restraint is likely why Kagero, in their poignant last scene together with her dying in Jubei's arms, felt she was treated as an equal human being by him and why their first and final kiss had more meaning.

This. If I remember correctly she was never treated well. She was just a poison tester and had been raped twice? Jubei is not gonna press all over her. When she expressed her feelings, it made it easier.

Because the good guys cant feel any pleasure in Anime. Pleasure especially sex is a no no. If the good guy has sex its never shown. Sex in anime is only used to illustrate the evil in men. Jubei seemed satisfied with a headband instead of sex and I say to each his own.

Jubei didn't want to dishonour Kagero. He wasn't aware of her true feelings and thought she was just being manipulated by Dakuan into sleeping with him.
