I agree that they could have come up with a better title for this film, but it does not negate from Judith Light's bone-chilling performance as a woman who physically abuses her husband, played by Peter Strauss. Great TV-movie.

shareI don't think he was laughing at the film's serious subject matter, but the rather weak title of the film which in fact betrays the tragic nature of this movie. It's like naming a movie about a young mother of 3 who discovers she has AIDS "Mommy's got a Brand New Problem". It's just inappropriate. Next time count to ten before firing the weapon as your impulsive reaction seems remarkably akin to the subject of this film!

number one...the movie was a good one...the title was a good one...the young child star Michael Lee Rand was a film casanova before the age of 4...
if you haven't guessed...my name is Michael Lee Rand...yes i am that child actor...yes I played alan...yes I have "discontinued" my acting career...but that's another story...
i enjoyed filming this movie...and i still love the checks coming every once in a while because it still plays in london from time to time. Please don't hark the film...it's my past...everybody wang chung tonight...

But even today when you hear any case of 'spousal abuse' or similar, people still assume the woman is the victim. 'Wifebeater' is a commonly heard phrase. You don't really hear about men being abused so much.
