An-Mei's mother (Rose's grandmother and Jennifer's great grandmother)

What I have to say about An-Mei's mother (Rose's grandmother and Jennifer's great grandmother) being disowned by her family for becoming another man's concubine right after becoming a widow is that you don't always have to support the choices the people in your family make. But please don't quit on them or stop loving them for their choices. If your child is doing something you don't believe is right, be honest about how you feel but assure them that you still love them and will always be there for them no matter what. If I was married and had children and they did things my wife and I disapproved of and have disappointed us many times, we would never be like An-Mei's mother (Rose's grandmother and Jennifer's great grandmother)'s family and say, "You are dead to us." or "You are no longer our child." or "You can't ever come home." Instead, we would always say, "What you are doing is wrong and we are very disappointed in you right now. But we still love you. That will never change. We can't say what you are doing is right and we won't always be proud of you but no matter what you do, we will always love you and you don't ever have to be scared to come to us for help."
