Awesome movie

I don't know why, but I love this movie. It's got a great combination of humour, drama, and mystery. And a fantastic cast! I love Ian Holm's cynical portrayal of a priest. Nicol Williamson is brilliant as he was in all of his films (RIP), and even the smaller roles by Donald Pleasance are effective. I wish there were more period pieces like this. It reminds me of The Name of the Rose, though it is slightly more campy. Lastly, it also has a lot of beautiful women!
