Edit in recent airing

I remember Jonathan Winter’s narrator character appearing on the snowflake at the very end to provide an outro to the audience, but when I watched it on TV this past weekend during the usual Black Friday airing, the final scene was just a shot of a snowy night sky with Winter’s narration but not him on screen. Is there a reason for this edit? I also noticed this airing didn’t have the “we’ll be right back with more Frosty Returns” bumpers which probably were cut for time.
