So in the end of the movie, you hear he's been charged with multiple crimes. Wouldn't it then make sense he would admit to putting Dave in position, thus possibly ruining Dave's political career and possibly his life?
It was an enjoyable movie, and I've never seen Sigourney Weaver look better.
It doesn't.
He has zero proof that Dave Kovic assumed the role of President Bill Mitchell so odds are he would just come off as either a kook or an actual crazy person trying to blame an innocent man somewhere in middle America for his crimes.
If he succeeds in convincing others all he's done is guarantee himself even more time in prison to the point where as an older man he would likely die in there instead of just serving a few years and fading away on his release.
